In the middle of the Möll Valley
The central Mölltal valley offers numerous opportunities to actively experience the impressive natural surroundings and collect unforgettable memories. In winter, nearby ski resorts, cross-country ski trails, and toboggan runs invite you to enjoy sporting activities, while in summer, clear mountain lakes, lush alpine meadows, and the impressive mountain backdrop invite you to relax and enjoy yourself.
The wayside shrine
The people of the Mölltal valley have always been a devout mountain people. Their piety is evidenced by the many wayside crosses in the valley, the crosses on the alpine pastures, and the chapels.
The R8 bike path
The Glockner Cycle Route R8 starts in Heiligenblut and ends in Möllbrücke. Between the start and end points, it also passes through our municipality of Lainach via Rangersdorf and Lamnitz to Tresdorf. Perfect for cycling on bright sunny days.
Lainach Leisure Center
If snow conditions permit, the ski lift in Lainach invites you to go skiing, or the ice rink invites you to go ice skating and ice curling.
Mitterling Leisure Center
Somewhat hidden away, off the main road but along the R8 cycle path, you will find the Mitterling leisure center. The small pond is an eye-catcher for young and old alike. In winter, Mitterling is a wonderful place to go for a walk and unwind.
